Vegan Super Fitness: 3 'Good' Things to Throw Out When Making Vegan Fitness Your Way of Life!

Yes, here are just a few of the questions often asked by new adherents to the super-healthy, vegan fitness lifestyle:'What about protein?' The short answer? Don't worry about it. Our bodies only require about 6 to 10% of our calories to come from protein; which is the amount found in most fruits and vegetables. Eat plenty of raw plant foods, especially leafy greens, like spinach (30% protein) and kale (16% protein), and you'll be more than fine.'What type of juicer should I buy?' Don't buy one, to start. Just head down to your local department store and buy a cheap blender for 25 to 30 dollars. Then, start consuming plenty of raw fruits and green smoothies. You can add a juicer to your 'wish list' later.'Do I need to spend a ton of cash on supplements?' Absolutely not! Just take a food-based, preferably raw, vitamin-mineral supplement that includes a full range of B-vitamins, including B12, and you'll be fine. These are available at most health food stores. Are you seeing a pattern here in the answers to these questions? If not, it's just this: It is far, far more important to think about what to throw out, when embarking on a super-fit vegan lifestyle, than it is to think about what to 'add on' to it. In fact, aside from the cheap blender, and an inexpensive whole-food based supplement, as described above, I can't honestly think of anything else you need, to be a healthy, fit, plant-eating success! We must always remember this: As Boutenko so eloquently wrote in her, Green For Life, humans do best on a diet that mimics our chimpanzee 'cousins,' with whom we share about 99.4% genes; along with nearly identical teeth structure, digestive systems, and overall nutrient needs. And what do these creatures thrive upon for their entire lives?Nothing but raw fruits, edible green leaves, and a pittance of denser items like pith, seeds, and bark. That's it! If we humans adopt a similar, minimalist-type diet, we also tend to thrive, physically-speaking, with great, clean, health, built from the inside out; that is, as long as we're getting sufficient exercise. So, in the spirit of 'minimalism,' here's my short list of three 'good' things to throw out when making 'plant-based power' your way of life:One: Throw out everything in your kitchen that's not a fruit, vegetable, nut, or seed. That's correct. It's one heck of a lot easier to adhere to a healthy diet, when you don't have a cupboard full of processed, 'food-like' substances tempting you from every corner of your kitchen. Get rid of those things. If you decide, in a few weeks, to add an occasional baked potato, serving of organic brown rice, or helping of sprouted or soaked beans to your diet, that's fine. But for now, go for the produce section of your local market. And stay there! You'll clean out your digestive tract with raw fiber, and give your self every vitamin, mineral, and nutrient that you need, just by eating organic fruits and vegetables for a few weeks. Heck, you might even get so used to it, that you'll decide never to eat anything else! Just like a healthy chimp in the wild! Add an avocado or handful of nuts or seeds, occasionally, for best results. Two: Throw out your exercise gadgets. Treadmills? Weights? 'Ab-rollers?' Nautilus-type machines? Do you really need any of these to get into the best shape of your life? Absolutely not! I haven't lifted a weight in years, and I'm stronger, faster, and more fit, from the inside out, than ever before. And I'm getting ready to turn 45!My 'secret?' Doing high numbers of calisthenics, daily, and going on 5 to 6-mile 'sprints' (in home-made sandals) through the concrete streets of Thailand, where I now reside. Plus, running up and down flights of stairs, and walking everywhere, rather than driving. Do this and you'll be fitter than 9 out of 10 people you meet, anywhere on earth. And you need nothing more than your own body-weight to do it!Three: Throw out your TV. Yes, this actually just might be the most important of the three. You'll see what I mean when you go a week or two without watching what passes for 'news and entertainment' on that weapon in the corner of your living room. The last time I watched a sporting event on TV, I felt like I was viewing a promotional piece for the military, banking institutions, beer, fast-food restaurants, and just about every prescription drug known to modern Man. Yes, there was a game going on between all the commercials for these modern-day horrors. But by the time I got to 'halftime,' I was so sickened by said commercials, that I decided to forego the game. And pull out a good book. You can---and should---too!So there you have it, aspiring vegan fitness folk! My 'favorite three things' to throw out when first embarking upon a new active, plant-based lifestyle.Get rid of those 'foods' in your kitchen that aren't raw produce. Your body doesn't need them. Forget about the exercise gadgets in the garage. Donate or sell those to make room for your yoga or calisthenic 'sanctuary.' And that 'weapon in the corner of your living room?'Well, I can't recommend you sell that. I wouldn't want to assist you in passing on the potential psychological damage that thing might inflict. Just throw a blanket over it and use it as a spare table. Or not.Jeff Sekerak

Why Should Your Business Have Customized Keychains?

Marketing is about getting your business noticed. You need to stand out against the competition, and promote your company in a way that helps people remember you no matter how limited the interaction. Introducing your products and services to potential clients is a good step, but it's hard for these individuals to remember you with such a limited interaction, and while most people try to complement their sales pitch with personal business cards, these cards tend to end up in the recycling or get lost in the person's wallet, never to be seen again.Customized keychains are a great way to avoid this problem. Complete with your logo and business information, imprinted keychains have several benefits that make them a great option for companies looking to promote their products. These benefits include:
Everyday Use - Unlike business cards, promotional keychains are used by the potential client every day. They are always in the person's purse or pocket, and each time they open the door to their home or turn on their car, the imprinted keychain is in plain view, reminding them of your company.
Gift Theory - Psychologists have found that giving a physical gift to a potential customer gives the customer a feeling of obligation to use your company if they are in need of your products or services. You've given them something, and in the back of their mind they feel they need to give something to you.
Inexpensive - There are other promotional gifts available, but customized keychains are some of the least expensive while providing the most regular use. They come in several different styles, and since they are inexpensive they provide you with an easy gift to liberally hand out to anyone that has contact with your company and its representatives. There are also several types of imprinted keychains that have additional uses, such as a keychain whistle or bottle opener. That added novelty gives the keychains more perceived value to the recipient. All of these styles let you choose an option that fits the culture of your company, while providing people with products that they can legitimately use in their daily life. Consider Customized Keychains For Your Business Whether you need to stock your next promotional event, provide interesting and unique gifts to your employees, or provide a new and useful tool to your marketing staff, imprinted keychains provide a number of benefits for your company for a low and affordable price.

Fishing Gloves - Fleece Fingerless Gloves For Fishing

If you spend any time fishing during the spring or fall in colder climates you are well aware of how cold your hands can become. If temperatures are from forty to sixty degrees, which is often the case during the spring and fall, keeping your hands warm is of the utmost importance. This is where a pair of fishing gloves comes into play. When it comes to trout fishing tips, this may be one of the best tips you ever receive. When you discuss fishing gloves you have a few different options available. There are waterproof neoprene fishing gloves, which are excellent in very cold weather, but can be a bit cumbersome in milder temperatures such as are dealt with during the spring and fall and you have fingerless fishing gloves. The neat thing about neoprene gloves is that they are waterproof, which can be a big help when you are fishing as your hands can tend to get wet a lot.For the most part neoprene gloves are used in temperatures that are below thirty degrees. Neoprene gloves are the way to go when you are fishing if the temperatures are below freezing or if your hands tend to get wet a lot while you are on the water. Some neoprene gloves are even available with openings that allow you to expose a finger if you need to "feel" anything. The next option is fingerless fishing gloves, which are obviously gloves that cover your hands while leaving your fingers exposed to the air. This style of fishing gloves is especially good if you need to be able to "feel" your line or bait while fishing and/or baiting up. When it comes to this style of gloves, fleece fingerless gloves are the way to go. If fingerless gloves are made from fleece it makes them extremely comfortable and warm when air temperatures are between forty and sixty degrees Fahrenheit.Fingerless fishing gloves can also be used as glove liners when you are fishing in very cold temperatures, such as occur during ice fishing. This way whenever heavy gloves need to be removed, you still have some protection from the elements with your fingerless gloves. This system works very well and helps to keep your hands toasty in fishing situations where the mercury drops below twenty degrees. The bottom line is that when it comes to fishing gloves, fingerless fishing gloves should be a part of every angler's repertoire, especially when air temperatures are between forty and sixty degrees as tends to happen during both the spring and fall fishing seasons such as you find in the spring and the fall in many areas.
